About the artist

I am an impressionistic artist and I mainly paint objects, people, places and countries I visit, flowers, nature and anything else that touches my heart.  I have a photographic memory that’s always working and taking pictures and stores them deep inside my brain, which comes out now and then and I paint them.  It gives me so much pleasure to paint from my memory because it makes me relive the moment I saw it snd fell in love with its particular beauty and importance to me.  They create memories for me and I am all about memories which I treasure and refer to by going over the paintings that I have created and that makes me happy.  My paintings are my life story, they are my pleasure in life.  I look at them and  I dream and I wish that people that see them would feel the same way.  I hope these paintings would touch their heart like it does mine.  I painted during my childhood years growing up in Greece, until we came to the United States when I was 14.  Paintings like picking olives by going with my grandmother to the olive groves and watch them how they picked them and made the olive oil the same day they picked them. Precious memory.  I made a painting of me going from door to door when I was 10-13 years old in Greece snd sang the Easter carols with my basket that I decorated with roses.  People gave us money.  I painted almost all the places I've travelled to in Europe, Middle East, United States, etc., and the memories make my day happy and full.  

I always wanted to travel, so from a very young age here in The United States I went to work for the airline industry and it gave me the opportunity to travel a lot.  I have visited almost all the Greek Islands, and again I feel blessed because I was able to paint them.  It’s my love,  it’s my passion to paint, and I educated myself how to use color by watching artists on TV years ago when they were demonstrating lessons on channel 9 and 12.  I was so passionate about it that I locked the door with  no interruptions and watched the lessons.  It was the beginning of my trip to paint once I learned how to use color.  I have used all mediums.  I paint now with oil and acrylic.  I am so blessed I have this passion because it contributes to my everyday life.  It gives me pleasure.  

These paintings are made to make you happy and keep you happy and dream of your next trip destination and maybe that can also bring you precious memories from childhood and also nature plays a big part in my imagination.  Anything that has to do with nature,  something alive, or something created by nature all around us;  Flowers, animals and even sea creations    My paintings are relaxing, calming, colorful, romantic and enthusiastic.  They can make you dream and maybe also travel.   Please enjoy them and feel free to send me comments any time, I will appreciate it.
